The Latest

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted. There happens to be a very good reason. Two reasons actually. The first is that I ordered a new battery for my camera and it still hasn't come (3 weeks later). Sheesh. Secondly, I don't have a spare moment to even get ready for the day, let alone blog. And any moment that I've been fortunate enough to get, I usually choose to take a little snooze and let my body recover from the havoc our three midgets have been creating. Because I had to take Quin and Seren home from Church early today, I thought I'd update a bit. So sorry for the lack of posts lately.

This is the latest in our home.

Quin is into a lovely new phase of ripping everything in sight, climbing everything in sight (whether it's sturdy or not), Eating any clump of dirt he can get his hands on, drinking as much bath water as is humanly possible, and anything else he can think of to keep us on our toes. On the flip side, he can be such a love. He adores his little sister and on occassion plays well with his brother. He's taken on Jack's obsession with Thomas the Train, and asks for thomas toys, books, and movies all the time. He is a great eater though, I can get him to eat almost anything! He's talking up a storm, which we are thankful for. Jack was a late talker and so we were realy concerned that Quin would be the same way. Not so. He's doing fantastic. We love our crazy almost two year old.
One night we went into check on the boys to make sure they were sleeping and this is what we found. Quin had ripped out the pages of an entire book. This was a big book too.






















Seren is our happy baby! If she is fed and well rested, she's a piece of heaven. At her six month check up she was 95% for weight, 100% for height, and 50% for head. She is sleeping through the night, most of the time, experimenting with new baby foods, and pushing herself up on her tummy position. She is ticklish, and super smiley to her family and strangers. No teeth yet, but she' still drooling like crazy, so hopefully soon.















Jack is still prancing around in his undies and superman cape most of the time and still loves Thomas the Train. He loves to kiss, snuggle, and sing to Seren, and tease Quin. He is mostly on one extreme end of the spectrum or the other end.He can be so helpful,obedient and loving, or incredibly defiant.When he is loving, I have never EVER seen another three year old boy as mushy. He'lll stroke my cheeks, give me huge kisses and sweetly stare in my eyes and say "i love you mommy." He rarely turns down my requests to snuggle. When we are at home in our own setting, is usually when he is the best, but get him around his cousins and friends and you've lost him. He is so athletic. He loves any sport, but his daddy has been helping him with baseball. He's already smackin those balls way out there.He says the funniest things. The other day I asked him not to kick the ball as his brother and this is how the conversation went.
Me: Jack don't kick that at your brother, he doesn't like it.
Jack: Did you say no to Jackson!
Me: Yes, I did.
Jack: Hmph (makes the mad face and growls at me)
Me: (playfully make a mad face to get him to laugh)
Jack: Don't you give me attitude.
Me: Don't YOU give me attitude.
Jack: Hey, show me a smile.
Me: (smile really big)
Jack: mommy, I'm so proud!
