1st Soccer Game (oh so entertaining)

The day finally came. Jack had his first soccer game, and just as the title suggest it was something to see. I am sure you can imagine what a bunch of four year olds running around trying to play soccer looks like. It went something like this. When the game started, there was a kid standing in the middle picking his nose, another kid drawing pictures in the grass with a stick that he had found, the rest of the kids were in a giant herd chasing the ball and kicking each others shins in effort to just get a kick in, and the other teams coach protecting their own goal so her players wouldn't score a goal in their own net. Pretty hilarious. It started out pretty rough, but after the first few minutes they started to get it. Turns out we have a couple of all-stars on our team (including Jack). This one kid on our team took the ball and scored two goals within the first five minutes. After Jack got the idea of what he's supposed to do, he took off. He scored 3 goals!!!! So proud. I will ignore the fact that he took the ball from his team mates to do this. No one really got the idea that you have a "team" and it isn't you against everyone. Ryan tried to explain but he just started getting upset, so we let it slide. So in between doing awesome, he was crying because the other kids wouldn't share with him and he didn't want to take his turn to sit out on the side. So it was kind of on both ends of the spectrum, really good and really bad all in one. After Jack scored his very first goal, he immediately ran up to Ryan and gave him fives. No joke, Ryan was on the verge of shedding some tears. It was so cute to see how he kept looking to us for encouragement, which you better believe we were giving. We were probably the loudest family out there. Quin and Seren watching their brother.

He is number 5. His team name is FIRE. Go fire!!!

Celebrating after with doughnuts, we let him pick and got the biggest doughnut in the whole store.
